Eduard "Chip" Spencer

Ed Spencer began creating figurative art in 1969, painting antique reproductions for his mother to dress. By 1980, the team was entering competition and winning top awards in regional doll shows and later won the "Millie" at the Doll Artisan Guild Convention in New York.

He went on to study figurative sculpting with Dr. Kwan Wu in Overland Park, KS and now works in direct sculpture porcelain. His work has won over 20 top awards for sculpting in doll competitions in California, Illinois, Kansas, Georgia, Arizona and New York.

 
 

He has authored a new, soon to be released, instructional book on figurative eye painting and collaborating on a line of limited edition porcelain dolls with Australian doll artist, Kaye Wiggs. His original work is available through Doll-E-Stuff, Inc., Porcelain Dolls N' More, both in Wichita, KS and The Best Friends Collectables in Northridge, CA. He resides in Wichita, KS.
